This past May, select student representatives attended the AAPG Canada Region’s Local-Student Chapter Leadership Summit. The summit provided opportunity for the representatives of each student chapter to interact, network, reflect on the past year, and brainstorm amongst themselves on how to improve their chapters. As a result of this summit, we have some great new ideas for this upcoming year – so keep your eyes and ears open!
We are also pleased to announce that the Petrolia Pioneers were named the AAPG’s “Best Canadian Student Chapter” for the 2014/15 school year! Thanks to all who came out and supported our events, we couldn’t have done it without you. We are currently looking for some prime real estate within the department to show off our trophy and certificate, and will post some photos once we have got them displayed.
